Webinar CCS - Commercial and Financing

After a long period of discussions, CCS appears to finally gain momentum, with both Porthos and Northern Lights progressing through the construction phase. Following these landmark projects, emitters throughout Europe are deciding on carbon capture investments and other transport and storage projects are progressing their development phases.

Nevertheless, the financing of CCS projects remains a challenge for the private sector, with regulatory frameworks diverging and project risk allocation subject to negotiations. The business case is not always profitable, even with subsidies and the current EU ETS prices. However, CCS projects might also lead to new business opportunities.

In this webinar we focussed on these topics, discussing the state of play in the Dutch market, and explore how additional revenue streams, could possibly make a profitable and bankable business case.
