Highlighted: 3rd IEA - GHG CCS Social Research Network meetingSeven SP5 researchers will provide an oral presentation of CATO research at the Noosa symposium. As CCS moves towards more real projects around the world the experience and research in consultation and communication with stakeholder populations is increasing. From a regulatory, commercial and ethical perspective, consultation and communication with local stakeholder populations will be an essential part of any project. The IEAGHG Social Research Network was established in 2009 from an existing network: The Carbon Capture and Storage Social Research Network (C2S2RN). This workshop will be the third meeting of the IEAGHG Social Research Network, after two successful meetings in France and Japan, and will aim to promote a sharing and learning environment for social science research, nurturing discussions to assess research results and identify gaps in knowledge where social science research may provide valuable insight, and to encourage the translation of results into tools or applied lessons and recommendations. |
